Free Crochet Pattern Sloth

This free crochet sloth pattern is a fun and beginner-friendly amigurumi project with a simple shape and adorable details. Its small size and straightforward construction make it a great choice for gifts, decor, or adding a playful creature to your crochet collection.

Tips


Work tightly and count your stitches

Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark beginning of the round

Crochet through both loops unless stated otherwise

Crochet in continuous rows; don’t join at the end of each row




Materials


4.0 mm hook

Medium weight yarn: off-white, light brown, dark brown, black

Polyester Fiber Fill

12mm Black safety eyes

10mm Brown plastic nose (can substitute with black yarn)

Yarn needle 

Scissors

Pins

Eyes (make 2)

Use dark brown yarn 


R1 Ch 6

R2 Start 2nd ch from hook

4 sc, (5 sc into next st)

Now working on other side of chain

3 sc, slst 

FO & leave tail for sewing



Place plastic eye through hole 

Do not snap on the locking-washers yet



Arms (make 2)

Use light brown yarn

Stuff lightly

Use light brown yarn

Stuff lightly

Start with off-white yarn

Attach eye patches to head by sewing along edges

Assembly 


Use pins to hold things in place

Lay pieces down flat on table while pinning




Attach arms to body between R15-R16

Attach legs to body between R24-R27

Attach tail to body at R26

Embroider mouth with black yarn

If not using plastic nose, embroider one with black yarn

Embroider fingers/toes with off-white yarn 



Outer-Eye Accent:

Add small piece of off-white yarn 

Start at top-center of eye, and

end at bottom-center of eye

Pull to tighten along outer side of eye
